Course Description

This course will introduce you to knives used in the kitchen as well as classical French cuts used in many recipes.

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Properly select knives for different tasks.
  • Properly take care of knives (cleaning and sharpening).
  • Demonstrate classical French cuts.
  • Produce a meal using one or multiple knife cuts.

Notes

Students will need hair covering, smock/apron and closed toe non-slip shoes.
