Course Description

This course covers the principles of vegetarian meal preparation using basic culinary techniques. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of how to substitute meats for vegetables in a meal, and be able to safely and accurately execute vegetarian meal plan preparation.

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, student will be able to:

  • Prepare a vegetarian meal.
  • Substitute meats for vegetables.
  • Use safety and sanitation procedures in the kitchen.
  • Execute a vegetarian meal plan.

Students will need smock/apron, non-slip, closed toe shoes and hair covering.
