Course Description

This class will cover all the skills needed to decorate simple cakes. Students will begin and complete a decorated cake in each class. This class will teach basic cake decorating techniques including icing, cake writing, borders and flowers. Successful completion of Cake Decorating I will enable students to continue to improve on skills and prepare them for Cake Decorating II.
 

Learner Outcomes

Students will learn:

  • Basic icing making.
  • How to properly use cake decorating small wares.
  • Crumb coating a cake.
  • How to decorate a cake with borders and flowers.
  • Cake writing.

Notes

Students will need to wear a smock or apron, closed toe shoes and hair covering(hairnet).
