COS-3201C3 - Cosmetology in Spanish III
Course Description
This course allows students who speak Spanish fluently to continue working towards a certificate in Cosmetology. Instruction will focus on advanced theoretical concepts of cosmetology with hands-on experience. Students will work towards meeting graduation requirements to become eligible to take the NC State Board of Cosmetic Examiners Cosmetology written and practical licensing exams.Learner Outcomes
Upon completion students will be able to:
- Demonstrate safety in a salon setting.
- Discuss the selection of products for salon services and homecare.
- Explain salon management and discuss salesmanship.
- Recall skin care procedures.
- Discuss electricity/light therapy.
- List wig and thermal hair styling procedures.
- List lash and brow tinting and superfluous hair removal procedures.
- List the steps of a manicure.
- Demonstrate intermediate-level skin care and manicuring services.
- Demonstrate intermediate-level scalp treatments and shampooing services.
- Demonstrate intermediate-level hair color and chemical restructuring procedures.
- Demonstrate intermediate-level hair cutting, design and pressing procedures.
- Safely and competently demonstrate intermediate-level cosmetology salon services.
Notes
- Students will participate in an online blended asynchronous portion of the course.
- Students will be required to be in uniform and prepared for class each day with textbooks and kit.
- Verification of Identification is required.
