Course Description

This course teaches students to operate both a stand-up and sit-down forklift in a safe, efficient manner. Students will participate in machine maintenance, warehouse picking, travel, placing and loading simulations. 

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion of this class, students will:

  • Understand potential hazards (lift trucks and workplace).
  • Safely operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
  • Be aware of warehouse technician role and expectations.

Notes

Requirements

  • Students must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
  • Steel-toed boots are required.
